How it Works

Prowl H2O herbicide works by inhibiting cell division and growth in weed seedlings, ultimately preventing them from establishing and competing with crops. The active ingredient in Prowl H2O is pendimethalin, which belongs to the dinitroaniline herbicide family. It offers residual activity, meaning it remains in the soil and continues to provide control over an extended period.

When Prowl H2O is applied to the soil, it forms a protective barrier that acts as a pre-emergence herbicide. This barrier prevents the germination and growth of weed seeds by inhibiting the formation of microtubules, essential for cell division. As a result, the growth of weed seedlings is suppressed, limiting their ability to emerge and compete with crops.
