RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The position of Credit Department Assistant is of great significance to Valley Agronomics.  This position is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager with the creating and maintaining customer accounts. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the Credit Manager with the credit process for customers.
  • Answer customer calls regarding questions about the customer’s account.
  • Process applications for credit.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues related to their accounts.
  • Record and enter customer data.
  • Answer general credit inquiries.
  • Process and enter adjustments to customers’ accounts.
  • Post payments to customers’ accounts.
  • Process and send out customer statements.
  • Reconcile customer account balances and payments.
  • Contact customers to discuss and collect past due balances on accounts.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of Accounting experience.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and 10-key.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Valley Wide Coop / Valley Agronomics is looking for additional Crop Advisors. A person in this position is responsible for attracting new customers while also developing and supporting relationships with the location’s customer base. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with identified customers and working face to face with grain producers on the farm. The ideal candidates will possess experience in Agronomy Inputs, Seed, Crop Protection, Fertilizer and Precision Agriculture. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Promotes and coordinates the sales of fertilizer, crop nutrition products, crop protection products, seed, seed traits and seed treatments to maximize yield.
  • Implements marketing and sales plans; establish and meet sales goals; and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities.
  • Examines fields for yield, quality, adaptation to specific soils or climates, and resistance to diseases and pests.
  • Help growers discover best methods of planting, cultivation, harvesting, and effects of various climatic conditions on crops
  • Scouts fields and develop methods for control of noxious weeds, crop diseases, and insect pests.
  • Strictly follow all company policies which includes safety and regulatory.
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Communicate information regarding products and services with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years agronomy experience.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of fertilizer, chemical and seed products.
  • Must be a Certified Crop Advisor, Certified Professional Agronomist or ability to become certified.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public
  • Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service.
  • Must have strong relationship building skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business or other Ag related degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of agronomy operations experience with the understanding of seed and crop production practices preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The Agronomy Driver is responsible Drivers deliver product to area customers in a safe and timely manner.  A person in this position is accountable for keeping a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions carried by the cooperative on a daily basis.  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Record daily tickets on manifest summary report.
  • Maintain purchase order records.
  • Establish and maintain efficient route book.
  • Maintain good communication with stores and other personal via phone and radio messaging.
  • Adhere strictly to the delivery price sheet provided by management.
  • Acknowledge any discounts given and obtain management approval for any and all volume discounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Fertilizer Truck Driver
    • Deliver products sold by company to the customer location.
    • Pick up empty pallets at customer location.
    • Clean up associated garbage at customer location.
    • Transfer product from store to store.
  • Responsible for proper care and maintenance of the delivery truck.
  • Responsible for completing driver’s daily inspection reports.
  • Responsible for purchase orders needed for all repair work.
  • Adhere to all commercial motor vehicle rules and regulations.
  • Respect customer property at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Class A CDL required, Tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Clean driving record with all applicable endorsements required, experience with fast-paced delivery experience preferred.

  • Operation and maintenance of equipment, warehouse and site.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A Basic knowledge of mechanical and welding skills;
  • Proficiency in operation of forklift, bucket loader and conveying equipment.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A Valid Forklift/Bucket loader certification, and the ability to operate a loader for long periods of time.
  • The ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and 50+ pounds on occasion.
  • The ability to work under, around and over equipment in the maintenance of equipment.
  • The ability to climb ladders though out the plant.
  • Qualify to wear a respirator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Agronomy Utility Worker experience.
  • Valid Class B CDL, Class A preferred; willing train if no CDL.
