The ag Pesticide Applicator is responsible for making pesticide, fertilize, and lime applications accurately and efficiently. An Ag Pesticide Applicator will maintain and promote a strong safety culture.  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ability to follow and interpret fertilizer and pesticide labels.
  • Load and transport products to and from the location.
  • Maintaining application logs and other records as necessary.
  • Reading field maps and global positioning devices.
  • Working around and handling hazardous materials properly.
  • Performing daily inspection of equipment and minor repairs as needed.
  • Assist with plant operations and maintenance as needed, assist shop as needed.
  • Must follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
  • Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
  • Willing to work extended hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as an Apprentice Pesticide Applicator and all associated training or equivalent.
  • Must currently have or ability to obtain Commercial Pesticide Applicators license with all applicable endorsements.
  • Must have a Class A CDL.
  • Valid Forklift/Bucket loader certification.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
This is a full time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
