We do this with respect to the communities we do business in and the environments that we impact."  The company is seeking candidates for an Agronomy Operations Supervisor.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
A person in this position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the facility while also
 developing and supporting relationships with the location’s customer base.  A person in this position will
 assist in directing, promoting and coordinating operations in a manner that will optimize the safety program, efficiency, customer service, mission, and goals of the company. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
 

  • Responsible for assisting with the overall management of the agronomy location.
  • Responsible for promoting and supporting crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed and services for local producers.
  • Overseeing facility compliance with OSHA and cooperative safety program
  • Supervising and assisting in the spraying, spreading, and delivery of product.
  • Assist in communicating goals and results to employees, staff the location and delegate the workload, support employee growth and uphold cooperative policies.
  • Manage location maintenance and safety records.
  • Communicate information regarding products and services with customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
  • Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
  • Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service.
  • Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
  • Must have a manager focus in all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.
  • Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Ag or other related field.
 
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is a full time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
