A person in this position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the facility while also developing and supporting relationships with the location’s customer base.  A person in this position is responsible for providing sale counter service, load out customers and maintain administrative records as assigned.  Provide up to date accurate product recommendations and ensure proper accounting and communication of Agronomy information. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide customer service on all products to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain adequate and timely records including, but not limited to, scale tickets, computerized inventories, accounts payable, customer invoicing, various reports, bills of lading, and shipping instructions.        
  • Provide customers with product recommendations, label information, and MSDS.
  • Communicate information, as needed, to field staff and applicators.
  • Assist Location Manager with operation of the office and correspondence.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Answer telephone as needed and perform receptionist duties.
  • Record and log equipment in and out.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Travel to, and work at or around, other Ag facilities throughout Valley as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in shop as needed.
  • Knowledge of agronomy products and ability to make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Skill to operate computer and other automated office machines.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Skill to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Obtain and maintain Pesticide Consultant’s License.
  • Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.
  • Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in business operations.
  • Agriculture background in crop production.
  • Experience in office record keeping
This is a full time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
